Paek Leads Cheshire Girls' Golf Past Hand

On Wednesday at Madison Country Club, sophomore Julia Paek shot a 32 to lead Cheshire High School girls’ golf (10-3) to a 183-217 victory over host Daniel Hand. Paek has been the medalist in all of her dual matches this spring.

Junior Olivia Beach (49), senior captain Sophia DelRosso (50), junior Haley Hannan (52), and sophomore Piper Dooling (54) also broke 55.

On Thursday at Southington Country Club, the Rams play Amity at 2:30 p.m.

Boys’ Golf (9-3)

CHS had their match against North Haven postponed to Thursday at Southington CC. Start time is 2:30 p.m.

Remainder of Thursday’s varsity schedule:

Softball (18-1)

Riding a 14-game win streak into the regular-season finale, the Rams host Daniel Hand (9-10) at 4:15 p.m. Before the contest, Emma Ballschmieder, Karla Carangelo, and Taylor Kozlowski will be recognized on Senior Day.

On May 1, Cheshire beat the Tigers, 5-0, in Madison.

Baseball (3-15)

CHS visits Guilford (12-6) for a rematch at 4:15 p.m. The Grizzlies won the first meeting, 10-5, on April 22 at CHS.

Boys’ Lacrosse (12-3)

Cheshire ends the regular season with a visit to Shelton (9-6) at 7 p.m.
